No, because leaves produce oxygen by photoshnises

10/28/2012 11:32:00 pm

I like to learn how photophinises work.
We need to know it so when oxygen is low, we will take action by saving trees.

I do not know leaves are not one of my topics. I think we should learn more about this because we could run out of oxygen now.

white boy
10/28/2012 11:28:19 pm

no because the leaves form the oxygen and when there are leaves they filter the oxygen and take the dust and other particles out.

white boy
10/28/2012 11:31:36 pm

we need to learn more about how the leaves for oxygen. this will help us in the future protect our oxygen

10/28/2012 11:29:20 pm

no because trees are the oxygen is in the tree and trees just release the oxygen freely i would like to know if this is true

10/28/2012 11:30:52 pm

I think a leafless plant will still produce oxygen. We need to know this to stop deforestation. This would help us in the future because we need air to live.

Stafano (jake W)
10/28/2012 11:33:10 pm

i think trees will produce oxygen if there leafless because the oxygen is on the inside of the tree with all the nutrition.
we need to learn about the trees and nature becuase some people abuse nature and this keeps happening we wont have any trees for oxygen.
the future needs trees or they will die the end.

no, because a trees don't grow in winter. trees use carbon dixiode as an ingreneint in their food and produce oxygen

Big B
10/28/2012 11:34:46 pm

1. No, because the leafs absorb the polltion in the air
2. I need 2 learn more about this because thats all i know
3. this could be bad and pollute the air

elizabeth barnett
10/28/2012 11:35:47 pm

No, it doesn’t because the leaf produces the oxygen to the plant.
We need to learn more because I don’t know that much of it.
It helps us in the future for oxygen and helps the trees

Nathan M.
10/28/2012 11:35:58 pm

Yes, because I know that the leaves and the tree put off oxygen and when we cut down trees we cut off the oxygen from that tree.

Pedro (zachary calton)

1 i think that they still produce oxygen without leaves
2 what i would need to know about is how trees produce oxygen
3 i think it will help me breathe later on

10/28/2012 11:41:00 pm

No because the leaves produce oxygen

we neeed to learn why the leaves produce oxygen and the rest of the tree doesnt

knowing this it will help us understand why the leaves are helpful to life

When leaves fall off the tree it don't put out oxygen.
The trees dies and fall over.

Ty Miller
10/29/2012 01:58:25 am

I am not sure if it would still produce oxygen or not. But my guess would be yes, because when winter comes around and the leaves fall off the trees we still get oxygen. But that is a good question that we should learn about so we could explain it better.

big easy gerber
10/29/2012 01:58:53 am

No because the leaves make the oxygen and spread it out so theirfor if there is no leaves then there is no oxygen. I already know this and i would like to learn about this again.

10/29/2012 01:59:50 am

No trees will not produce oxygen if there arent any leaves because the leaves are used to make it.

10/29/2012 02:00:09 am

Yes, the cells inside the tree would use carbon dioxide and all those nice things to produce oxygenand food, the plant may not have leaves at all and it would still produce oxygen. In fall, the plant would have stored all of its necessary nutrients. we need to know this to better understand the world we live in and how it works. this would help us in biology etc.

10/29/2012 02:00:25 am

No a leafless plant will not produce oxygen because it is the leaves that use photosynthesis. I would like to know how it works. If to many trees die then we will know how to stop them.

10/29/2012 02:00:26 am

yes, it still grows doesnt it? if the plant grows, photosynthesis takes place, and photosynshesis produces oxegen! we need to know more about this because alot of people dont know this anser. it could help on a project in the future.

10/29/2012 02:01:07 am

Yes a plant without leaves would produce oxygen. Now most of the oxygen does come from the leaves but not all of it. So there wont be as much oxygen as there is in the summer, but there will be some, because trees soak up the sunlight and carbon dioxside and release oxygen. I do not know if all of this is completly true, but this is what i believe to be true.

Dallas Remington Hall
10/29/2012 02:02:09 am

1. I think it would because of the leaves on the ground by the tree. The leaves might still produce a little more oxygen even when their not connected to the tree.

2. I need to know if it can or not becasue it might help in the future if I know the answer.

3. I need to know more about it becasue it might effect us in the future so we need to know the answer.

No, because the leaves produce the oxygen.
I would like to learn why the just the leaves produce oxygen. (if they do)
This would be helpful in the future to tell our children, and how if we save trees that it would be easier to breathe and help with Global Warming.

Earlier this week, Russian officials revealed to the world a secret that has been known to them for twenty years - A diamond supply that they claim is vast enough to fulfill global demand for at least, the next 3,000 years.

Discovered in the 1970's the diamond field is located inside Popigai Astroblem, a 62-mile diameter crater believed to have been created by an asteroid, 35 million years ago. The officials say that when they first discovered the trillions of carats, they did not to explore it, because they were then a member of the Soviet Union (USSR), which already had immensely profitable diamond mines and were also manufacturing synthetic diamonds. Now that Russia is an independent nation they decided it was time to begin mining and also, let the world into their shiny secret.

Unfortunately though, these are not the kind of diamonds that can be turned into swanky jewelry, but ones that are used in manufacturing. Known as impact diamonds they are the hardest known substance to man, formed when a space rock hits a graphite deposit at very high velocity. According to the Russian experts, the Popigai diamonds are extra hard because of the enormous pressure and high temperature caused when the asteroid landed in the area, millions of years ago.

In addition to that they also feature strong abrasive properties and a large grain size - all highly coveted qualities since these diamonds are largely used inside cutting and grinding tools like commercial drill bits and saws. Other uses include specialized high pressure laboratory experiments, high performance bearings and sometimes even specialized windows.

I'm tellin' Ma (Linsey Anderson)
10/29/2012 02:11:00 am

My main anwser is no but it is partly yes. This is a because the plant would produce a very small amount of oxegen but about four times less oxegen would be made if its leave would be removed. Although a dead tree would slowly put back carbon dioxide into the air and a dormat tree or "hybernating tree" would only produce a small amount of oxegen. Just enough for it the survive the fall and winter days.
I know this because as a kid I often studied the life span and life in general. This was because trees fassinated me and I often wondered how they survived the cold winter. Also how they live so many years and how they died and what happens when a tree dies and wat process they go thourgh.

10/29/2012 02:14:59 am

You spelled oxygen wrong.

I'm tellin' Ma (Linsey Anderson)
10/29/2012 02:16:38 am

We need to know this because if there was one day that the trees died from some exotic virise and all the trees die.

10/29/2012 05:17:36 am

My answer is no because the leaves on the trees are what produces the oxygen.

10/29/2012 05:18:23 am

If a tree doesn't have leaves it'll still produce oxygen. I don't know how it produces oxygen but it does. Trees, I think, are our main source of oxygen.

Jennah Cunningham
10/29/2012 05:18:23 am

Yes it still would produce oxygen because we would be dead right now during the past winters. Im not sure how it can produce oxygen but it does. It's the tree itself, in my theory, that produces the oxygen.

Wyatt F.
10/29/2012 05:19:00 am

yes because there are other parts of the plant that produce oxygen not just the leaves. the stem producesoxygen i think and so does the head of the plant maybe

10/29/2012 05:19:07 am

No, I dont think that a leafless plant could produce oxygen... The reason is that the leaves give off the oxygen that the plant needs. Therefore, without leaves, a plant would be pretty much unable to produce oxygen!! :))

Sophie <3
10/29/2012 05:19:32 am

Yes because that is how plants stay alive. If they didnt produce oxygen the plants would die.

tayler simpson
10/29/2012 05:19:38 am

yes because all plants produce oxygen.

vote4pedro (brett neal)
10/29/2012 05:21:11 am

No a leafless plant wont produce oxygen because that is what the leaves help do. The leaves produce oxygen by absorbing sunlight. We need to know more about this to help us produce more oxygen by planting trees and other plants.

10/29/2012 05:21:51 am

no because there is oxygen in the leaves

J.E!!!((: / Juliet
10/29/2012 05:22:52 am

No, because the leaves are what produces the oxygen. And if the leaves are dead, have fallen and are no longer connected to the trees they cannot produce oxygen.

10/29/2012 05:23:31 am

I think the tree gives off oxygen because if the leaves fall then where do we get our oxygen so it has to be the tree not the leaves.

deven h
10/29/2012 05:23:37 am

yes because even though the plant might not have leaves it would still produce oxygen, but not very much, because plants do get oxygen without leaves.

Fairy Bun Bun (sara bun bun)
10/29/2012 05:23:48 am

Not all the time if leaves are on the trees then yes but if the leaves are on the ground then no.when leaves are on the trees then yes because the tree helps them make oxigon and if the leaves are the ground then no because they have no product to live on to help them make oxigon
